- I visited this cemetery on my 60th birthday on 14th May 2004 to visit my father's grave for the first time.
I was born on 14th May 1944 and my father was killed in action on 8th Sept 1944, so I never actually met him although he was there at the time.
I was very impressed with the condition of the cemtery and its upkeep was obviously done with loving care. There was a reverent silence in the area. I also was impressed with the man in the gatehouse who said,in answer to my query, "Yes, He is here" making it very personal and not just a grave he was talking about. - By: Roy Black
