Huertgen Forest - Rock Outcrop Kall Trail
(Germany - Nordrhein-Westfalen - Vossenack)
Because of this rock outcrop it was not possible for the Sherman-tanks to use the Kall Trail. The first tank that passes the rock outcrop destroyed the road and the other tanks could not pass. Some tanks tumbled over the edge on the lift side. Therefore the first attack on Schmidt failed.
Later on the rock was partly demolished and the Kall Trail could be used by the Sherman tanks.
