Heidefriedhof Cemetery in Dresden contains a mass grave for the casualties of the bombing of Dresden, on 13 February 1945. About 16,000 people are buried here.

From the central war memorial on the cemetery a road leads tot de mass grave. On both sides of the road are blocks with general texts remembering the dead and warning for war.

The memorial on the mass grave contains a text commemorating the casualties of the bombardment.
How many died? Who knows the number
In your wounds one can see the agony
of the nameless ones, who burned to death here
in a hellfire made by human hand.[/I]
