In memory of
The citizens of Neufchâteau and Mortroux, who took into their homes and hearts the young men of the 740th Tank Battalion U.S. Army in November and December, 1944 and to the members of the battalion who gave their lives in the battle of the Ardennes, the Rineland and Central Europe.
Campaigns from December 19, 1944 to May 8, 1945 under command of
LT. Col. George K. Rubel
May they never be forgotten
