Commonwealth War Graves Gooreind
(Belgium - Antwerp - Gooreind)
The churchyard of Gooreind contains two Commonwealth burials. These are a British and a Canadian serviceman who died during the liberation of Gooreind in October 1944. The graves lie in a small field of honour at the end of the churchyard, behind the graves a Belgian flag is erected. Very remarkable of these graves is that the stones are wide apart and the position of the stones is a bit skewed, they are both facing a person who stands in the center of the field of honour watching the graves.
We like to add more information about the casualties buried in these graves. If you know more about these graves, please contact us.
