Stützpunkt Friedrich Barbarossa Bunker 1 type 611

(Netherlands, the - Zeeland - Buttinge)

In the triangle: Middelburgse weg / Frederik Barbarossaweg / Domburg Waterway are two artillery bunkers of the type 611 - Stp. Friedrich Barbarossa, the battery in the hamlet Buttinge, can be found when looking for a windmill in the area.
Given the firing range of this battery (north-west), the main firing lead came from the bunker of the type 143 (or 120) of the Stp. Swinemünde just outside Domburg.

Below is a remark from the Bunker Preservation Foundation and Bunkerfoto’s.nl , which ww2museums.com fully agrees.
Please:
Many bunkers on Walcheren and the Bevelands are on private land. The dunes are prohibited for public. Do not Destroy or damage anything. Ask for permission to the owners before you visit a bunker. This is to avoid that bunker fans are given a bad name by the owners of these bunkers, and the result may be that they are no longer accessable. Please also note that for many owners, Sunday is a day of rest. Do not cause any inconvenience
