Czechoslovakian War Graves Eindhoven-Woensel

(Netherlands, the - North Brabant - Eindhoven)

On the General Cemetery Woensel Eindhoven are three Czechoslovakian war graves. These Czechoslovakians were in service with the RAF.

On 14 April 1942 at 22:25 departed from RAF East Wretham a Wellington bomber with on board a six-man crew of Czechoslovakia. The aircraft was hit by the German night-fighter Uffz.Schienbein 2./NJG1 and crashed into Boshoven (Limburg). Half of the crew consisting of Sgt O.Havlik, Sgt J.Talab and Sgt P.Varjan died in the crash, they are buried in Eindhoven.
The survivors; F/O M.F.J.Zapletal, Sgt J.Klvana en Sgt V.Para were captured by the Germans.
