Grave Civilian Casualty Welberg

On the cemetery in Welberg is a grave of a civilian casualty of the Second World War. This is the grave of the Chaplain de Kock.

Chaplain de Kock welcomed the invading Allies on November 1th 1944. Not knowing that the same day the village would be recaptured by German troops. These Germans had seen the welcoming of the Chaplain and executed him out of anger.
