Bunkera Himmlera / Bunker of Himmler

(Poland - Warmian-Masurian - Pozezdrze)

Just outside the village Pozezdrze are the bunkers of Himmler's former headquarters. Along the road leading to Wegorzewo is a modest white arrow labeled 'Bunkera Himmlera' this leads to an improvised parking lot in the woods. There are a number of bunker buildings to visit, one of them is well preserved. This is the bunker of the Reichsfuhrer of the SS itself. Follow the blue-white signposting along the sandy paths to see all bunkers on display among the lush greenery.
