Commonwealth War Cemetery Eindhoven-Woensel

(Netherlands, the - North Brabant - Eindhoven)

The flowerbedings which are placed in this cemetery, who are reserved by the Commonwealth, contain 686 war victims of which 543 are airmen who were killed in strategic bombings. The 143 soldiers came from two different hospitals who were from October 1944 till the end of the war stationed in Eindhoven. The graves contain 570 British, 50 canadian, 38 australian, 9 New Zealanders, 1 South African, 4 Dutch and 14 Polish.

The soil on which this burial ground has been placed is giving from the Dutch civilians for an eternal restingplace for the fallen of the Navy, Army and Airforce who will be remembered here.
