Landing Zone Z

(Netherlands, the - Guelders - Wolfheze)

Landing Zone Z is situated between Wolfheze and Heelsum. On September 17th 1944 gliders with parts of the following units landed here:
- 1st Parachute Brigade
- 1st Airlanding Light Regiment, Royal Artillery
- 1st Airlanding Anti Tank Battery, Royal Artillery
- Reconnaissance Squadron
- 9th Field Company, Royal Engineers

General Urquhart was on board of one of these gliders.
