52 Lowland Division Memorial

At the location of this memorial, next the Commando memorial, there was during the liberation of Vlissingen a garbage dump.
This garbage dump was near a small harbor, where the allied used their amphibian vehicles to came on land under a fierce resistance from the enemy.
From there, the liberators marched up under fierce opposition from the Germans through various streets, into the direction of the Boulevard to Brittania Hotel where the Headquarter of the enemy was established.

to liberate the island.
The memorial is located next to the Nr. 4 Commando Memorial.
