- Having a cold that evening, my grandfather Harry Barker (rear gunner) 78 squadron, didnt fly that fatal mission in EY-S for sugar... therefore i and my father Geoff Barker have our lifes, thanks to these brave men. It is one comfort that when Harry died in 1985 his family including myself went to the graves to spread his ashes with his fallen friends. I add this now just to pay my respects and to say - we shall never forget, R I P x.
