Remains American Ammunition Ship Pearl Harbor
(United States of America - Hawaï - Waipahu)
The remains of an ammunition ship are located in West Loch, Pearl Harbor.
On 21 May 1944, 12 ammunition ships were moored here preparing for an attack on Saipan. An explosion caused a deadly chain reaction and eight ships were lost. The total casualties from the tragedy were 163 dead and 396 injured.
