Memorial V2-Bomb
(Belgium - Antwerp - Berchem)
Berchem, like many other cities and communities, had to live under the terror of the flying bombs. In Berchem alone, about 100 people were killed and 1500 houses were destroyed or damaged.
The memorial is made of the remains of a V2-bomb which fell in the surrounding area of Antwerp. It commemorates the casualties of the V-bombs, but also the forced laborers which had to work on the bombs in hard conditions.
