Temporary Grave Executed 20 July 1944

On this location on Alter St. Mattaüs Churchyard, Claus Schenk Graf von Stauffenberg, Ludwig Beck, Friedrich Olbricht, Albrecht Mertz von Quirnheim and Werner von Haeften were buried after they were executed on 20 July 1944 for their involvement on the attack on Hitler, earlier that day.
Later on, they were cremated or reburied at an unknown location.
